Climate: a little warmer than January, with temperatures ranging between 8 and 20 degrees, February promises visitors an average of around 7.5 hours sunshine per day. Rainfall, at just 28mm, is also lower than during the previous three months, so this is a great time to experience the city when prices are low.
Here is a short selection of popular events, festivals and things to do in Marrakech in February 2017.
- Marrakech Golf Festival – played on several of Marrakech’s splendid courses, this event is open to both female and male amateur golfers of all levels. It is scheduled to take place from the 11th – 19th February 2017. More detailed information can be found on the Morocco4Golf Website.

Exact dates for the following events were not available at time of writing but the festivals themselves are well worth planning into a February visit to Marrakech if possible.
- Dakka Marrakchia Festival – celebrated in February throughout Morocco, this festival combines the region’s spiritual traditions with local Berber and Arab music. Festivities typically include musical performances, classes, exhibitions and workshops.
- Almond Blossom Festival – taking place in the village of Tafraoute, to the south-west of Marrakech, this eponymous annual event is celebrated just as the local almond trees are coming into bloom, usually in late February/early March.
