Golf in Marrakech

Marrakech is a great destination for a short golfing tour with ideal temperatures, in the mid or upper twenties, from November to April. There are three first class golf courses - a fourth is about to open - two of them situated less than 15 minutes from the hotel.

Les Borjs de la Kasbah is happy to organise golfing breaks for small groups and larger societies (maximum capacity 32). As well as accommodation, we can lay on return transfers, pre-book tee times and on-course meals; we are also able to set up a special 'gala evening' finale at the hotel combining a gastronomic dinner, entertainment and presentation of prizes.

Contact Us with details of what you have in mind and we'll create a tailor-made package to meet your specific requirements.

Moroccan Cookery Courses

To meet the growing interest of those keen to learn about Moroccan cuisine, we have put together a cookery course to be conducted within the hotel by experienced local cooks. Courses can be arranged throughout the year for as few as 2 people and up to 10 maximum at a time.

Each cookery session will take place during the morning, in the restaurant patio, with courses adapted, where practical, to the requirements of the group. Afternoons will be left free for participants to relax around the pool, enjoy a spa session or visit the medina and souks.

Demonstrations and instruction will be given by one or more cooks with the assistance of an interpreter. Each session of two hours will commence at 1000 hrs preceded by a market visit to inspect the local produce from which the menus will be prepared.

Each course session will be concerned with the preparation of a three course menu comprising a selection of some of the best-known Moroccan specialities. After preparation and cooking, the various dishes will then be consumed at lunchtime by the participants themselves. Examples of the menus likely to be included in a session are as follows:

Menu 1
Salade Marocaine
Tagine de poulet aux olives et citron confit
Patisserie Marocaine

Menu 2
Harira Marrkchia
Tagine d'Agneau aux Pruneaux et Amandes
Feuille de pastilla au Lait et Amandes

Menu 3
Pastilla de Poulet
Couscous aux sept Légumes
Patisserie Marocaine

COST: 1050 dhs p.p. for a course of three lessons or 400 dhs per person per 2 hour session, including the services of an interpreter and lunch (drinks not included).

GROUPS: if you have a group of friends who would be interested in learning about Moroccan cookery as a themed break, then you may wish to consider arranging an entire package including flights, transfers etc. and the cookery classes themselves, using the services of an ATOL-bonded tour operator such as www.thegroupscompany.com with which the hotel works regularly.
